Kodak one of the top brands that twitter!

We were all very excited when we were included in Mashable's list of 40 of the Best Twitter Brands and the People Behind Them. (scroll on down to the third to the last on the page)

"We all know brands are using Twitter — whether or not you want them around. Some of them don't quite get the medium and just tweet self-serving links or marketing speak, but you won't find any of those brands here. We've handpicked 40 of the best brands experimenting with the micro-blogging platform, and asked them a few short questions about how they're using Twitter."

Our spot in the article mentions all the social media sites that Kodak has a presence on... Facebook, YouTube, Flickr, Delicious and of course Twitter. Whether it's the hot Zi6 HD Video Camera, the booth buzz from CES or what hole the Kodak Challenge is at this week you will find Kodak out there talking about it. You have something to say? Visit kodak.com/go/followus to share your thoughts with us.

Malia Obama using a Kodak M893 Digital Camera

I was in our office lunch room with my colleagues watching the inauguration of Barack Obama when the camera focused on one of his daughters busy using her digital camera. Tom Hoehn nudged me and said "That sure looks like a Kodak camera."

Sure enough, upon closer inspection, Malia Obama was using a Kodak M893 IS, (in purple!), to capture pictures (or maybe video?) of her father's inauguration.

Those will be some amazing memories for sure.

Update: the story just got picked up by Wired, GeekSugar and the New York Times too!

Wrap up of Kodak's booth at CES 2009

In case you haven't been following along, here is a look back at Kodak's presence at this year's CES.

Kodak's newest products, the Z980 Digital Camera and the Zx1 HD Video Camera had great debuts and got lots of coverage. The Kodak Theatre HD Player was praised for it's superior YouTube feature.

Several Kodak products were recognized with awards and honors. The Zx1 HD Video Camera was chosen for a Popular Mechanics Editor's Choice Award. Both the ESP 9 AiO printer and the M820 Digital Frame received Innovations 2009 Showcase Awards. The Kodak OLED Digital Frame was a CNET Editor's Hot Pick.

Kodak was well represented with many interviews featuring Jeff Hayzlett and Phil Scott sitting on a CES panel called Digital Imaging: Beyond the Megapixel.

There were fun visitors to the Kodak booth like Drew Carey, Nonsociety and Richard Karn.

And the entire show was well covered by both Brennan Terry with a Zi6 mounted on a helmet cam (available for purchase in April!) and by many of the bloggers who checked out a Zi6 through a show loaner program.

Definitely a great show!

Last day at CES 2009

Another CES is a wrap and we had a great show at the Kodak booth. There have been lots of praise for our products and complements on our booth. (Kodak's Lola Ignatowski said she got 47 people in 4 hours telling her we had the best booth!)

There was always something exciting going on at the Kodak booth!

Brennan Terry donned a helmet cam with a Kodak Zi6 HD Video Camera attached and shot some show footage!

Unfortunately we couldn't find the footage from the helmet cam shot during this excursion because the memory card was misplaced.

We do have a little clip of Brennan heading off again to tour the South Hall of CES.

I don't know about anyone else, but I think it's pretty darn funny. Note to self. Do not try to put on a Kodak fleece vest while wearing a helmet cam. The helmet video camera attachment will be available in the Kodak store in April so you will be able to shoot your own birds eye footage too!

Some other highlights - most interesting visitor to the Kodak booth... Super Nutrition Man! Seen here posing with Kodak's Don Stuart, who says he is very nutritious.

The cutest visitor to the booth had to be Maile, a pug/pomeranian mix who was getting a lift in her owner's bag.

I guess she got a dog's eye view of the whole show!

One last video... this is the video that played on the large screen across the top of the Kodak booth.

Kodak Digital Frames at CES

Kodak's family of frames did well at CES this year.

The Kodak M820 Digital Frame won an Innovations 2009 Showcase Award.

The Design and Engineering Award was for Eco-Design and Sustainable Technologies.

The Kodak OLED Digital Frame was chosen as a CNET Editor's Hot Pick at CES.
