Comment: I do not use my printer very often. The paper jams in it constantly, the printer head is now out on it. I have wet through 2 color and 2 black cartridges and I have not even made a total of 150 copies of anything. I have not printed any pictures yet at all. So where is the savings??? I had a lexmark for 4 years that was still working (never had one problem with it), but I gave it to my nieces and went with the Kodak to save money on ink...What a waste of $100. Customer Support said that there is an issue with the print heads due to the ink clogging it up if not used often, so I will need to know that this will have to be changed often and they will do that for free....however every time it happens I have to buy more ink even if they new cartridges....where is the savings?????

Comment: AWFUL printer ! I have had this printer for more then a year and I like that it can scan/copy, but the ink runs out EXTREMELY FAST ! I ket thinking everyone in my house was using it a lot, but I found out they never touched it, then I bought more ink & used it myself. I put a brand new color cartridge & black cartridge in, printed a total of 3 pages of black ink only & they were very short paragraphs, and 1 colored page which was the size of a state i.d. card because I scanned the i.d. & printed it. My ink is ALL gone now. This is the 4th time we ran out of ink this quickly. It is shocking and I am definitely getting a new printer.

Comment: We have the ESP-7. We have had it replaced 3 times because the print head just stops working. One of the replacements was not new it was actually a refurbished one. We thought the third time was a charm but unfortunately this one is a piece of junk also. You will not save money on ink because it takes all your ink to clean the heads. It seems the heads stop working if you are not constantly printing on it. Don't waste your money on this one. I think Kodak needs to recall this piece of junk. I have a digital camera from Kodak that is 10 years old. It takes great photos and still works perfectly. Maybe Kodak should stick to making cameras and leave the printers alone.

Comment: I have looked through the tutorials of my brand new Kodak ESP 3 and I can't find out how to print any information on envelopes. The instructions tell me how to install the envelopes but where's the software to print from?

Comment: I am so glad I reviewed these comments on the Kodak printers. Having had many Kodak cameras, I was considering purchasing a printer. But now I think NOT!

Comment: Yes, I believed the adds on the ESP7 - - - It is the worst printer I have ever owned. It consumes ink at an unbelievable rate, and now the lousy print head for black ink doesn't work - I can't print a simple email. None of the programs to adjust and clean the head work - it is an total waste of money.
Response: Allen, have you tried contacting support via our online chat (http://www.kodak.com/global/en/service/chat/index.jhtml?pq-locale=en_US)or 1-800-421-6699?

Comment: No surprise I read these comments after I bought this stupid printer. I advise everyone to throw it in the trash. I have the same issue with ink, It eats up the ink way too fast. I printed one pag of color and wouldnt you know it, EMPTY! Save your money do not buy!

Comment: I, being an ex-Kodak employee did purchase a 5500 when it first came out. In short, great printer for the bucks. Cost of ink much better than anything else except my HP Laserjet in cost per page. The problem is I have had 4 print heads replaced within a year followed by an replacement printer as well. Why haven't you been able to correct the print head problem yet? One more time and out it goes! Help us to help you sell more

Comment: Please Kodak: I want your business model and your company to be successful in the marketplace, which is why I bought a 5500 AIO as soon as it hit the market, then my new ESP 9. But you NEED to fix the software and mechanical bugs before it kills your printer business. 1. software is very slow and lacks the features of my 5-year-old Epson scanner or my very old HP 830 printer. 2. my ESP 9 CAN'T PRINT ENVELOPES!! Who's brilliant decision was THAT? 3. Why does that irritating "order ink" window pop up EVERY DAMN TIME I print anything: the software knows when the ink is low. Pop the window up THEN, so it means something to me. Now I can't close that window fast enough. And you can fix that in software right now. The fact that you don't is a testament to the lie of "we appreciate your feedback". 4. Why does the printer come to a hard stop when it thinks one of the cartridges is empty? Let ME decide when I want to replace a cartridge based on the output quality. I'm a MUCH better judge of what I want than your software. Let me emphasize that I am a supporter and early adopter of Kodak products, having two Kodak digital cameras and now two of the top-of-the-line AIO printers. But your engineers need to do a LOT better job to keep me on your side.

Comment: I agree with john - my ESP-3 is less than a year old, and it consumes ink wildly. Specifically, my problem with with color cartriges - a new cartridge that I used only to align and calibrate the print heads is now showing as nearly empty - and this was all to diagnose why my reds are printing as pinks. Really, this printer has been a waste of money and I won't consider another Kodak product because of this experience.

Comment: I have an ESP-3 I installed new ink cartridges last week printed 15 black only pages and the printer says it is out of ink at $27. Cdn thats almost $2. per page makes it the most expensive on the market, its less than 1 year old and headed for the recycler

Comment: Hi, I've read your comment and watch your videos about your injet printers, but later I read that HP is very angry with you, because they say it is not true what you are saying. Even they are talking in a campaign about Kodak going bankrupt. Is there any truth on what HP is saying or they are saying that because you are gaining market share from them?
Response: We think that it is too bad that HP is resorting to sharing extremely inaccurate information. Clearly Kodak's value proposition for affordable ink has got their attention. For the real facts please visit kodak.com/go/inkdata
